Northeast Regional Food Bank

On August 17th, 2025, my cohort went to the Northeast Regional Food Bank before school started to get to know each other! During our time at the regional event, my classmates and I reviewed numerous boxes of vegetables, fruits, salads, and other items to determine their quality for donation to families and individuals who would visit the Regional Food Bank the following day for fresh, free food. It was tough deciding whether something was good or bad to eat since whenever I had gone to the Food Bank before, I would decide based on whether I would eat it or not, but this time, the majority of the things at the food bank were things I had never encountered before, which made the task slightly difficult. Ultimately, I completed the task to the best of my abilities, ensuring that people and families across the capital region had access to fresh and edible food.
